Randi “Misty” Ebers holds a BM, Oboe Performance & BME, K-12 music education through the University of Northern Colorado and a MME in Curriculum and Instruction through the University of Phoenix. She is currently working on a second masters in technology through Lesley University. Randi has taught middle school band for the past 18 years in Brighton, Co with the last 7 as the choral director, as well.
Randi started stage productions with her middle school classes 7 years ago. To this date Randi has directed 7 middle school musical productions, such as: Annie Jr., The Little Mermaid Jr., The Lion King JR., Captain Bree and her Lady Pirates, Best of Both Worlds, Murder at Crooked House and The Wizard of Oz Jr. During her early years Randi has performed with many different groups outside of the university. Many include pit orchestras in the Northern Colorado area and community theatre groups on stage as well as in the pit. She has performed with the Cheyenne Symphony, Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra, local community orchestras as well as churches and smaller productions of many different kinds. Lastly, she has been an active participant in the Colorado Chorale for many years as well as the Orion Wind Ensemble until her recent move to the Gilpin area.
She lives in Gilpin county and teaches music at Gilpin County Schools. In her free time she loves kickboxing, hiking with her son and spending time with her dog. She attends theatre productions when possible with her best friend, crafting, quilting, and searching for the best deals in antiques and vintage stores.
